Hockey is arguably one of the few sports that requires such a large variety of physical attributes. In no other sport is there such a high demand for so many characteristics including strength, size, speed, first step quickness, flexibility, and mobility just to name a few. The off-season hockey performance training at APT is designed specifically to meet the high volume of demands that the sport imposes. Our protocol focuses on combining and developing the necessary mechanics, strength, and explosive power to be able to make quick speed bursts as well as sudden stops and changes of direction. We also focus on a regimented conditioning program that is specific to hockey which are anaerobic in nature, but also contain aerobic bouts to ensure maximal performance.
